"MISSING LINK" IS MERELY AN ARTIST'S IMPRESSION?"

“Lucy,” the famous purported “missing link” between apes and humans was primarily an artist’s impression.  

The bones discovered that make up Lucy did not form a complete skeleton—for example, most of the hand and 

foot bones were missing—yet the model depicts human-like feet on an ape’s body.  An artist’s reconstruction 

was quickly made, and many in the public accepted it as scientific fact, when Lucy really represents nothing 

more than creative speculation. 

If we did indeed evolve from apes as evolutionary theory suggests, then there must be an intermediary link 

between apes and humans - an “ape-man,” of some sort.  Try as they may, evolutionists have yet to produce 

such a creature, and Lucy was just one of many attempts to prove evolutionary theory right.  “Piltdown Man,” 

discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, was another “missing link” that evolutionists used as evidence 

of their theory.  However, it was later discovered that Piltdown Man had been an elaborate hoax when lab tests 

revealed that its teeth had been filed down and fragments of the skull had been chemically stained to alter their appearance.  “Java Man” was comprised of the remains of a human leg bone and an ape skull that was found 45 feet away.  An even fishier detail was conveniently left out of the press reports—modern human skulls were found in the same dated rock strata!
